The People You Meet

The People You Meet

I got into crafting to meet people.

When we first arrived to the Gold Coast, we didn’t know anyone and I was struggling to make friends (it is hard when you work from home). My usual go to was through swimming, however I was wanting a break from the water.

I started thinking about other things I liked doing (aside from exercise) and remembered how I used to decorate photo albums and make cards (cutting letters and pictures out of Mum’s Women’s Weekly to decorate my cards).

On to Google I hopped and started searching for card making classes and I came across Angela’s classes. After the second class, I was hooked! I loved the products and all these new tools I could create with (a far cry from the good ole Women’s Weekly 😉 ). I loved that I could be in my own creative bubble, however I was also part of a wider crafting community with wonderful, positive, supportive people.

I attended more classes, Charity Days, Team Days and eventually started running my own classes.

I love sharing the creative journey with others and watch them blossom as they find their own individual, unique craftiness.

I love giving cards to people and watch their faces light up!

I love the people and the friends I have made and continue to make, who inspire me.

Here’s to Friends! 😊
