Yesterday was National Chocolate Milk Day!

Chocolate milk has been a favourite treat of mine since I was young and it turns out my husband really likes it as well. We used to live abroad, and every time we visited home, chocolate milk was one of the first items we bought.

Unfortunately, milk no longer agrees with me so I can only have a little sip. And we only ever have it as a treat, due to the sugar content.

Did you know chocolate milk was once sold as a medicinal substance by apothecaries in Europe? Hmmm . . . I wonder what ailment it helped? 😉
